Ayrshire police have addressed social media reports that two men in a van approached a child yesterday. Claims online suggested that the pair, in a black transit van, had approached a kid in the Stevenston area of North Ayrhsire.Police have said that following extensive enquiries there was no criminality to this.Inspector Alison Wilson, of Saltcoats Police Office said that this was a "false call with good intent".Police have now warned the public to be wary of what information they share on social media.Inspector Wilson said: "We are aware of reports circulating online that two men in a black transit van approached a child in the Stevenston area of North Ayrshire on the afternoon of Tuesday, July 7, 2020."Following extensive enquiries,.
