Arrest after police chase ends in crash and pursuit on foot in Monton, Eccles

Police in Salford made an arrest on Monday evening (March 28) after a vehicle pursuit ended in a crash. Traffic officers said a white Ford Fiesta "made off" from a special response team on Madamswood Road in Little Hulton.

The vehicle was pursued into Monton, police said, where it crashed on Folly Lane just before 7pm. The suspect was arrested after a foot chase, officers added.

The force said the suspect was allegedly already disqualified from driving and also wanted by police. They said he was taken into custody and the car has been recovered. The driver was arrested after a foot chase. Disq x 2 and also wanted. He's on his way to custody and the car has been recovered." People are reminded to dial 999 in an emergency, or otherwise contact Greater Manchester Police via the 101 non-emergency number.
