Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have joined a host of other celebrities in sending their love to Ukraine. The presenting duo, both 46, took a moment to send their 'thoughts and prayers' to Ukraine during Saturday's episode of Saturday Night Takeaway.
In the early hours of Thursday morning, Russian forces launched a full-scale invasion on Ukraine with it being confirmed on Saturday the Ukrainian civilian death toll is 219.
The pair touched upon the heart-breaking scenes before their quiz section as it included questions on this week's news. Ant and Dec assured viewers they would not be using questions in relation to the war. 'All the questions are taken from this week's news,' Ant explained. 'And now obviously the news this week has been dominated by the terrible events in Ukraine so all of our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by the situation over there,' Dec added. 'Absolutely,' Ant continued. 'So, of course, there won't be any questions on that subject. ' Celebrities from across the globe have spoken out and shown their support for Ukraine.
