England manager Gareth Southgate has suggested that Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham could benefit from joining a Premier League club, amid links with a move to Manchester United.
The central-midfielder, who is considered as one of the most exciting youngsters in world football, joined Dortmund from Championship side Birmingham City in July 2020 for an initial fee of £25million.
The German heavyweights beat a plethora of big-name European clubs to his signature, including United. Bellingham visited United's Carrington training base in March 2020 and met with Sir Alex Ferguson, as the Old Trafford club looked to try and win the race for his signature.
However, the midfielder, who was only 16 at the time, felt a move to Dortmund would be the correct next step to aid his development.
