Anger after racist graffiti appears in Glasgow city centre

A racist piece of graffiti derogatorily depicting people from east and south-east Asia has appeared in Glasgow city centre.

The disturbing image shows a cross-legged person with slanted eyes, buck teeth and a conical hat giving the ‘peace’ sign and was spotted on hoarding close to the new Barclays bank financial hub in Tradeston, just south of the 'Squiggly Bridge.' Cameron-Wong McDermott, a Glasgow-based human rights lawyer, shared photographs of the graffiti on Twitter on Wednesday and listed each of the racist elements in the image alongside tick signs.
