Created by local theatre and arts centre HOME, the new festival-style site will have street food, theatre shows, comedy and DJ sets.

It will take shape on a disused patch of land close to the First Street theatre itself, with a Cabinet of Curiosities theme.

Known as Homeground, the venue is planning to launch on Friday May 28, partnering with other cultural institutions such as Frog & Bucket, Contact theatre, and Trans Creative to bring a programme of events to the city centre.
