Amazon and PayPal customers advising them that their accounts have been suspended or temporarily blocked due to incorrect payment or billing details.
Online cyber crooks are encouraging recipients with either of these accounts to click on a link which will take them to their account where they can update their payment details and ‘release’ their account.
While both emails might look like instant fakes to the trained eye, some people are likely to receive one and click on the link - especially if they have recently made a purchase on Amazon or paid for something through PayPal.
The fake Amazon email carries a 'Billing Information issues' subject line and reads: “We lock your Amazon account and hold all your last orders.
