Rangers boss Michael Beale admits the club won't stand still and wait on out of contract stars like Alfredo Morelos to decide on their future. The Colombian has started both of Beale's competitive games since the Londoner stepped into the Ibrox hot seat, netting in the victory over Hibs while also leading the line against Aberdeen in the absence of Antonio Colak.

The frontman has struggled for form so far this season with the 26-year-old netting just four Scottish Premiership goals. However, the Rangers boss reckons Morelos will have a point to prove in the second half of the campaign - whether that is to earn a new contract with the Light Blues or attract another club who can snap him up for nothing when his deal runs out.

He revealed that Morelos played through the pain barrier having picked up a knock before facing the Dons, and has demanded he continues to improve. When asked about Morelos' situation at the club, Beale told Sky Sports: "I would always say if you have a player with six months on his contract rather than six years I would take the one with six months.

They tend to be fit, they tend to be focussed and obviously trying to the best for the team and themselves."I think with Alfredo's situation, as well as with one or two others, we have a chance to look as well.
