Aldi in Wishaw is getting ready to launch a new “traffic light” system to stop overcrowding in stores during coronavirus lockdown.The discount supermarket will roll out the new technology in Scottish stores this week which will signal when shoppers can enter the store.The traffic lights will operate based on how many people are inside at one time and are following the two-metre social distancing rules, but NHS and blue-light workers will still be given priority access.The NHS and blue-light workers are encouraged to go to the front of the queue and Aldi have asked other shoppers to respect this.This new system will run alongside the stores current measures, which includes social distancing, protective screens at checkouts and sanitisation
