A bridge swept away in devastating floods is finally set to be repaired. Kay Street Bridge in Summerseat, Bury, was badly damaged during the Boxing Day floods of 2015, which caused the collapse of the nearby Waterside Inn.

It has remained closed to traffic ever since as repair works suffered a number of delays and setbacks. However, work is now due to resume with council bosses confident the bridge could reopen before the end of the year.
