YouTube Suspends Russell Brand From Monetizing His Channel Amid Sexual Assault Allegations

Russell Brand is being demonetized by YouTube. The company confirmed Tuesday (September 19) that the 48-year-old comedian will no longer make money from his channel, after several women made allegations of rape, emotional abuse and sexual assault.

His account, which has 6.6 million subscribers, has been suspended from monetization “following serious allegations against the creator.” Keep reading to find out more… “This decision applies to all channels that may be owned or operated by Russell Brand,” the video service said in a statement, via ET Canada.

The suspension means his videos won’t earn money from the ads that run within, before and after his YouTube videos, like “What REALLY Started the Hawaii Fires?” and “Covid Tsar Admits Lockdowns Were NEVER About Science.” At the same time, his tour dates were also postponed.
