A young boy who died following a crash on the M60 has been named as Blake Consterdine. Emergency services were called to junction 23, for Audenshaw, after a silver BMW collided with a stationary highways maintenance vehicle on the hard shoulder of the motorway.

Blake, eight, was taken to hospital where he died a short time later. It is understood he lived in the Milnrow area of Rochdale.

A file has since been passed onto Stockport Coroner's Court. Another six-year-old boy was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.
