Woman tells jury she "nearly lost her life" in alleged abduction bid

A jury has heard how a half naked woman fled a Paisley flat clutching her severed finger following an alleged abduction bid.The woman, who we are not identifying, claims John McNally and Julie McNally, locked her in a Maxwellton Street flat before attacking her because they thought she’d stolen their drugs.The trial, which started at Paisley Sheriff Court yesterday, was told the woman had been friends with the McNallys was visiting when things turned sour over missing tablets. She told the jury how she was slapped and pulled to the floor, before having her trousers and pants cut off as the couple tried to find the pills.At one point she said her finger was severed and she was mauled by an American Pit Bull as she attempted to defend herself, in November 2020.The 40-year-old Paisley woman told the court: “I was in the living room on the couch.“John’s girlfriend gave me a housecoat.“In the pocket there was tablets.“I took them out but put them back into the pocket.“They thought I was trying to steal drugs from them, and that’s when everything kicked off.”The woman claims she then endured an hour long struggle with John, 53 and Julie that saw her almost lose her finger and nearly “lose her life.”She added: “John’s girlfriend slapped me across the face.“He asked what was going on and she said ‘she’s trying to steal f***ing drugs from me.’“She then pulled me by the hair and John dragged me by the hair to the floor.“John got scissors and
