Woman seriously injured after police pursue ‘suspicious vehicle’ through Manchester

A woman has been seriously injured following a police chase in south Manchester. Officers in a police van began to pursue a white Toyota Yaris, described as a ‘suspicious vehicle’ on Wilbraham Road, on Tuesday afternoon (November 8).

When the chase reached nearby Brantingham Road, where police say the Yaris struck a second vehicle and then the pedestrian, pushing her into the path of a third vehicle. She suffered serious injuries, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said. The drivers of the cars not involved in the pursuit remained at the scene.
