The widow of a man who suffered severe brain damage in a horrific accident at work is now seeking approval from the High Court for a £625,000 compensation settlement.

Father-of-two Simon Blockley tragically died at the age of 44 on April 3, 2020 - just over a year after the incident. Mr Blockley had been unloading a stack of garage doors from a pallet while working for his employer, Loughborough house-builder William Davis Ltd, when the accident occurred, reports Leicestershire Live.According to papers issued in the High Court in London, which have only now been made publicly available, Mr Blockley was carrying out the task with a colleague in grim weather.He was injured when the pair got caught up in a gust of wind and the doors knocked
