A Covid-19 outbreak at a Dumbarton care home has been described as “utterly shameful and completely unacceptable” by health secretary Jeane Freeman.In an exchange with local MSP Jackie Baillie in the Scottish Parliament today, Ms Freeman commented on cases at Crosslet House where there have been several coronavirus-related deaths.Labour politician Jackie previously claimed that management at the facility, which is run by West Dunbartonshire Council, were claiming it was “Covid free” but this has been “completely rejected” by authority bosses.Jackie claims there have been 16 deaths at the home and that a staff member is being treated in hospital for symptoms.The council have not confirmed the figure although the Care Inspectorate yesterday
