Simon Gauge hit back at suggestions by Andy Curran, of would-be owners Morton House MGT and First Form Construction Ltd, that the League Two football club would run out of money before the end of the year.
Responding to concerns voiced by Rochdale MP Tony Lloyd over the prospective takeover, Mr Curran said: "The board have already confirmed they have no intention or means of putting in the funds required to sustain the club for the foreseeable future."
