Victoria Beckham has posted a snap of her husband David Beckham on social media following the news that the Manchester United footballing legend missed out on a knighthood.
David, who was appointed an OBE for services to football in June 2003, has made it clear he would love the opportunity to be called Sir David Beckham one day - however is still waiting for the honour to grace the dad-of-four.
The retired footballer was missing from the New Years Honours list, reports the Mirror, while other sporting heroes including Mary Earps and Peter Shilton were among those celebrated.Victoria took to her Instagram on Friday to share a candid snap of husband David, 48, looking deeply in thought whilst reading a book titled 'Keeping Chickens for Dummies'.
The family own a lavish home and sprawling garden in the Cotswolds and regularly update on their cosy country life, with fans getting an even close insight during David's Netflix documentary Beckham which was released earlier this year.Despite the huge success of his Netflix show giving a candid account into his early life and footballing career it seems it still wasn't enough as he was missed off the New Years Honours list yet again.
