Thousands of people unsure whether pavement parking is legal where they live

That is according to new research by Confused.com’s pavement parking survey, which found that more than half (52%) of UK drivers admit to parking on the pavement, but nearly two thirds (64%) don’t know if this is legal in their area.
According to the research, one in six (17%) UK drivers rely on parking on the pavement outside their home, putting them at risk of fines once the nationwide ban comes into effect.
