Glamour's West Coast editor, Jessica Radloff, says it feels like “massaging gold flecks into [her] hair to make it silky, soft, and immune from heat and environmental factors.” There's no actual gold inside, but her description is exactly how I feel whenever I use it: like I'm coating my hair in liquid luxury.
The dropper in the cap makes it easy to dispense the smallest amount (3-4 drops is sufficient for my long hair), which is great because I can already see myself crying when I run out.
The oil smells faintly sweet, like sun-warmed roses, spreads easily, and absorbs on contact. I concentrate it mostly toward the ends of my hair, then do a quick scalp massage to finish.
You can use Augustinus Bader The Hair Oil on both damp and dry hair, but I prefer the latter as part of my morning routine. I say routine because I've been reaching for it daily; the results are so good, I don't even need conditioner anymore.
