Thirteen residents at a Scots care home have died in a week following a suspected coronavirus outbreak. Burlington Court Care Home in the Queenslie area of Glasgow also confirmed two members of staff tested positive for the deadly virus and are being treated in hospital.

The 90-bed home, on Stepps Road, houses those with dementia and other long-term medical conditions as well as those with mental health conditions.

Four Seasons Health Care, who runs the premises, suspended all visits to Burlington Court amid the pandemic, which has swept across Scotland over the past couple of weeks.Th Daily Record was told that the deaths were 'query associated to Covid-19' and not confirmed as being the direct result of the virus.None of the deceased
