In the wake of the Manchester Arena outrage, the detectives who investigated the atrocity and brought Hashem Abedi to justice became very familiar with CCTV footage which showed the moment his brother detonated the bomb and the carnage it caused.

It’s footage no-one should have to see, showing horribly injuried victims of a terrible attack dead or dying on the floor of the Arena foyer.

Some of this footage - about 65,000 hours was gathered in total - was shown during the Old Bailey trial which ended with Abedi, 22, from Fallowfield, convicted of mass murder.
