Rubbish tips and recycling centres in Salford will reopen this weekend with a raft of new rules and restrictions to cut queues and enforce social distancing.

The centres will be open for bagged general waste only and residents will need to bring proof of address with them. There are also changes to opening hours.

Lumns Lane, Clifton, and Boysnope Wharf in Irlam will both open Monday to Sunday 8am to 6pm but Cobden St will only open at weekends.

In order to control the number of vehicles accessing the centres, a traffic control system will also be introduced based on odd and even number plates.
