David Prior's neighbours watched in horror as members of the Army, police, fire crews and paramedics arrived on Middleton Road in Reddish in June last year.
Little did they know the fireworks obsessive had been posting videos online about making various explosives which could be adapted for use in the event of 'civil unrest'.
Those clips raised concerns, before police started looking at his social media activities. The 51-year-old had a 'home laboratory', with items including a 3D printer, an imitation Beretta handgun, ammunition and 112 fireworks found by cops following a search on June 1, 2023.
