A temporary morgue is being prepared in Dundee's Technology Park for Tayside coronavirus victims if deaths spiral out of control.
A disused unit in Gemini Crescent, next to Riverside Drive, is being prepared to accept bodies in an emergency.It is unclear how many victims the new unit will be able to hold or when it will come online as the city’s facilities are currently coping with the surge.It has been confirmed there is still space in mortuaries at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee University and Police Scotland’s HQ in Bell Street.As Covid-19 takes hold, Dundee City Council have been actively looking for additional premises for its morgues.Council leader, John Alexander, would not comment on the Technology Park proposal but did insist plans
