A teenage boy was rushed to surgery after getting a USB cable stuck inside his penis. The 15-year-old from the UK had been trying to measure the inside of his penis with the cable as a form of “sexual experimentation” when it became tangled and he was unable to remove it.

A urology case report documented the bizarre incident in November 2021, according to the Mirror. With the cable becoming more knotted, the boy started passing blood in his urine and he was taken to hospital by his mother.

However, he waited until his mum had left the doctor's office before confessing to medical staff that he had deliberately inserted the cable instead than use a ruler.

In a Science Direct report, the surgeon wrote: "The two distal ports of the USB wire were found to be protruding from the external urethral meatus whilst the middle part of the knotted wire remained within the urethra. “The patient was an otherwise fit and healthy adolescent with no history of mental health disorders."Doctors were unable to remove the cable with a metal rod due to the amount of knots that had formed, so the boy underwent surgery.
