Billy Joel and Madison Square Garden Entertainment announced at a press conference Thursday that the singer will end his record-breaking residency in July 2024.After 10 years, Joel, 74, will be “Movin’ Out” of the iconic New York arena. The first of his final 10 shows will be on October 20, 2023.His final show in July 2024 will mark his 150th concert at the Garden, after playing a show there every month since January 2014 and performing 90 consecutive times.“There’s only one thing that’s more New York than Billy Joel — and that’s a Billy Joel concert at MSG,” Mayor Eric Adams said at the press conference.

The announcement was made during a press conference at the venue, attended by Joel, MSG CEO James Dolan and New York City Mayor Eric Adams. “There’s only one thing that’s more New York than Billy Joel — and that’s a Billy Joel concert at MSG,” Mayor Adams said. “For more than 50 years, Billy’s music has defined our city and brought us together. On behalf of 8.5 million New Yorkers, congratulations, Billy, on a historic run of sold-out shows at MSG, and thank you for a lifetime of bringing joy to us all.”

Marta Balaga Projeto Paradiso has announced in Cannes that Daniel Bandeira has won the Pop Up Film Residency Paradiso. The program is created exclusively for Brazilian professionals. Bandeira, currently developing “Red Express,” is also behind “Property”, which premiered at the Berlinale’s Panorama back in February. Born in Pernambuco, he has been a filmmaker since 2001, making his feature debut with “Peer Pressure.”  The three-week Pop Up Film Residency – carried out in partnership with Matthieu Darras of Tatino Films – will take place in the Faroe Islands in Denmark, with Jón Hammer of Kyk Pictures joining as local partner.

The singer made the announcement Saturday evening during what was originally set to be the final performance of the series. The residency will face a hiatus for three months, returning in the summer on the date of June 16. From there, nearly five months of dates will follow, with a final performance slated for Nov. 4. Registration is currently open for ticket sales. “Playing to 4,000 people for 34 nights is not enough. I know that, so I am coming back,” Adele told the Caesars Palace audience on Saturday.

Adele fans are in luck, because the singer has just added 34 new dates to her Las Vegas residency show. On Sunday, the singer announced in a press release, that she's extending her stay at the Colosseum at Caesar's Palace for even more The 34 new shows will begin on June 16 and run through November 4. Adele teased the news during Saturday's show — which was slated to be the last in the series — telling concertgoers that she's not only coming back, but releasing a taped special of her show for everyone who couldn't make it out to Vegas to see her perform life.«Playing to 4,000 people for 34 dates is not enough, and I know that,» Adele told her audience.

"Rumour has it" … that Adele is extending her Las Vegas residency!  The singer revealed to her fans on Saturday that her "Weekends with Adele" show had been extended for 34 new weeks at The Colosseum at Caesar's Palace. Saturday was previously Adele's final scheduled performance before announcing the added shows.

Adele will add 34 dates to her Las Vegas residency, starting June 16-17 and completed by Nov. 4. Additionally, a live concert film of the residency is planned.

Fans can expect to spend a few more “Weekends with Adele”.
