Maggie Rogers has confirmed that her second album, titled Surrender, will be released on July 29. The album will arrive three years after her 2019 debut Heard It in a Past Life with today's announcement accompanied by a trailer teasing new music.

She went on to release singles "Light On" and "Fallingwater," as well as collaborating with Phoebe Bridgers on an unlikely cover celebrating the end of Trump's time as President.

The album was then recorded in three locations: Electric Lady Studios in New York, Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios near Bath in England, and her parents’ garage.
