Strictly Come Dancing star Jody Cundy has been supported by fans after he was taken to hospital this week. If his condition doesn't improve, he may be forced to miss out on Saturday night's performance.

The Paralympic cyclist, who is partnered with pro dancer Jowita Przystal, appeared on Strictly spin-off It Takes Two on Thursday night (October 5) and spoke about his medical ordeal.

He told host Janette Manrara on the BBC2 show that he woke up to find his leg sore and swollen after two days of training. The athlete, who has won won eight gold, one silver, and three bronze medals in Paralympic swimming and cycling events, is missing a leg and wears a prosthetic to dance on Strictly.

However, where the stump of his leg meets his prosthetic has become infected, resulting in a trip to the hospital.
