BBC Strictly Come Dancing confirms contingencies 'in place' after Jody Cundy's hospital dash

A Strictly Come Dancing star who missed days of training following a hospital dash this week looks set to perform in tonight's show (Saturday October 7).

Jody Cundy, who is partnered with dance pro Jowita Przystal, had to take a trip to hospital in the small hours of Wednesday morning after his leg stump became infected.

The Paralympic cyclist, who was three years old when his right foot was amputated, wears a prosthetic leg to compete on Strictly with.

On BBC Two spin-off It Takes Two, he voiced his hopes of being able to get back to rehearsals and take part in Saturday night's show.
