Scotland have just one win in their last nine and left themselves with an insurmountable task thanks to a dreadful start. And Clarke confessed his team struggled to cope with the intensity in the opening period as they blasted in the two decisive goals just over 90 seconds apart. "On the night the best team won," Clarke told Sky Sports. "They blew us away a little bit with the intensity of the start."Obviously, conceding two goals in quick succession like that made it a long night for us.
