Stacey Dooley channels Sandy from Grease with a perm makeover

Perms may go hand in hand with the eighties, but that doesn’t mean they can’t look cool in the 2020s, too. Just ask presenter Stacey Dooley, who has been spotted with the ultra curly ‘do in a major move away from her usual sleek hairstyle.The 35 year old shared a preview clip of an upcoming episode of BBC cooking contest Hungry For It, which she hosts alongside the show’s mentors Big Zuu and Chef Kay Kay, to her Instagram feed and can be seen with the super curly locks swept into a chic half-up style.

Of course, the episode would have been filmed some months ago, and eagle-eyed fans will know that Stacey’s hair is currently a much shorter blunt bob – but that didn’t stop her followers heaping praise on the curly style, with many comparing her to one of movie history’s most famous characters, Grease’s Sandy Olsson. “Love your hair all curly it's stunning,” one commented on the post, while another enthused, “Staceeee this is giving Sandy from Grease post glow up and I’m HERE for it”.

Meanwhile a third follower commented, “The curls suit you!”, as a fourth gushed, “Absolutely love your hair Stacey.. stunning!”.

Fans may remember that Stacey actually first unveiled this super curly mane back in October last year, so we’re guessing that was not long before she filmed this particular episode of Hungry For It.The star shared a short clip to her Instagram grid with the caption, “Straight hair is obvs now dead to me,” later treating her million followers to an outfit snap of the final hair look.
