Jim Goodwin can’t wait for the Buddies to get back to action - so he can keep testing himself against the best managers in the country.

The St Mirren boss has been cutting his teeth against Scotland’s top coaches in his first season in charge of a top flight club.

The 38-year-old, whose only other previous managerial experience came at the helm of Alloa Athletic, insists he’s itching to get back to business so he can keep learning his relatively new trade.
