Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Jubilant Neil Lennon watched "signature Leigh Griffiths " in the 5-0 win over St Mirren - but feels the striker can still improve.

The Scotland international bagged a hat-trick as Jim Goodwin's side were swept aside by Celtic , his first personal treble since January 2016.

Griffiths' form is good news for both Celtic and Scotland but his club boss isn't ready to declare him back to his best.Lennon told BBC Radio Scotland: "He's got a bit to do."But that's far more like him.

He's been working hard ever since the beginning of the year, I don't know how many goals he's got now, maybe that's him up to 11 which is a great return considering he hasn't played that much."We know what we've got with him.
