Ahead of the 25th anniversary of Sophie Toscan du Plantier’s brutal murder, light has once again been shone on the case. Jim Sheridan’s documentary Murder at the Cottage and Netflix’s Sophie: A Murder in West Cork both aired just weeks apart.
The stark difference between the two was the absence of Sophie’s family in Jim Sheridan’s doc which was produced by Sky. The family was actually interviewed for the series but asked for their involvement to be removed.
