I don't want to exclusively compare Hulu's new animated comedy Solar Opposites to Adult Swim's Rick and Morty. Sure, Solar Opposites hails from Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland and veteran Rick and Morty writer and producer Mike McMahan.

Hulu’s new ‘toon “Solar Opposites” will benefit from the fandom of “Rick and Morty,” Adult Swim’s extremely popular animated series that’s stamped itself into pop culture and even has its own line of merchandising — the mark of a keeper.

Not that it's humanly possible to exhaust all of your streaming options, but in case you somehow need more choices, Hulu will be adding even more new titles to your to-be-watched pile next month. On Friday, May 8, Hulu will debut the first season of its new adult animated series Solar Opposites, which comes from the same warped mind which brought us Rick and Morty, Justin Roiland. Roiland co-created the series with Mike McMahan, and it centers on a family of aliens who crash land into a suburban American home. They'll have to decide whether they like or hate Earth as they protect their living supercomputer Pupa, which will one day evolve into its true form, eat them all, and terraform Earth.
