Pollster Sir John Curtice said: "The route to 65 is now closed.” Although the BBC projects the SNP falling short of a majority, Nicola Sturgeon’s party is still significantly ahead of every other party.The forecast had the Tories comfortably in second place on 31 seats - the same as their tally in the 2016 election.Labour would secure 22 MSPs under the projection, down two from the last election.The Greens are in line for 9 MSPs, up from 2016.
