British holidaymakers are facing very different prospects as they travel the world with the pound in free fall. Last month, the pound fell to a low not seen since 1985 when it plummeted to £1.03 against the dollar.
The currency has been resuscitated - slightly - but it's miles away from previous highs seen when sterling has been worth double the dollar.No surprise then that travellers would set their sights on destinations where GBP can be stretched to its fullest.
While US holidays are pricier than they have been in decades, there are countries where the pound is stronger now than this time last year.Indeed, the pound hasn't flailed everywhere across the globe.
There are a number of destinations where travellers won't need to tighten their belts. According to City AM, some of the currencies weak against sterling are the Turkish lira, Japanese yen, and the Swedish krona.
