Shoppers have taken to social media to complain about ASDA 's butter pricing, and have said that they would rather opt for a cheaper alternative elsewhere.
Posting onto the Scrimping on a Budget Facebook, an eagle-eyed shopper spotted that ASDA's own-brand blocks of butter cost £2.15 each.
This is compared to the £1.75-per-block which members of the group claim they can get at Marks and Spencer. This comes amid soaring food inflation, which hit 16.2 percent in October.
Facebook users stated that they used to be able to get ASDA butter for just 49p in 2021. As reported by the Manchester Evening News, the shopper who spotted the butter simply posted: "Madness." One commenter said: "Don't buy it...
