Michael Kirk Douglas (born September 25, 1944) is an American actor and producer. He has received numerous accolades, including two Academy Awards, five Golden Globe Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, the Cecil B. DeMille Award, and the AFI Life Achievement Award.

The elder son of Kirk Douglas and Diana Dill, Douglas received his Bachelor of Arts in Drama from the University of California, Santa Barbara. HOLLYWOOD icon Sharon Stone has revealed that she starred in Basic Instinct for free and was "too poor to buy an Oscars dress".

While her co-star Michael Douglas took home $14million, the 63-year-old actress was "not paid" and went on to suffer acute mental issues.

Following the movie's success, which made Sharon into a globally-known star, she dealt with nightmares and troubled sleep issues.

Speaking to Sirius XM of her time opposite co-star Michael, 76, she revealed: "I didn't get paid to do Basic Instinct. I made a little bit of money. "Michael made $14million and has points.
