Scottish Government announces 526 new Covid cases and no deaths in 24 hours

coronavirus have been identified in Scotland over the past 24 hours. The number of people who have tested positive for Covid during the pandemic has now risen to 233,671, according to the latest Scottish Government figures.

No new deaths from the virus were recorded overnight, with the number of people dying 28 days after a positive test standing at 7,666.The number of people that have been given their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine currently stands at 3,234,311.

A total of 2,022,728 have now received their second dose.A Scottish Government advisor on the pandemic has warned that Scotland faces going ’10 steps back’ if policymakers do not consider reopen the country cautiously.
