It's been less than seven days since Scottish football was shut down but already the consequences are clear.The coronavirus pandemic has brought a harsh reality upon the game with Hearts the first big club to feel the financial squeeze.The Tynecastle club have asked players and staff to take a 50 per cent pay cut, with part-time academy staff also asked to take unpaid leave.Hearts also face the threat of relegation if the season cannot be resumed and completed by, as UEFA still intends, June 30.
There's also the question of whether Celtic will be crowned Premiership champions, as they insist they should. Rangers have set out their stance, maintaining the season can only be completed when all 38 games have been played.
