A Scots mum claims she was reduced to tears after a Hamilton café owner humiliated her when he 'rudely' asked her toddler to quieten down.

Stacey Jane Mackie was enjoying an afternoon out at Cafe Crema, in Cadzow Street, with her two-year-old son Charlie, her friend Elaine and her son Moss, also two, when the incident occurred yesterday.

Mum-of-one Stacey, told the Daily Record their lunch was cut short when a male member of staff approached their table and asked the two kids to quieten down so others could enjoy their lunch.The 35-year-old, from East Kilbride, said: "We left out of sheer embarrassment.

It was humiliating. I welled up because I was that angry at what had happened."The boys were just being kids, typical two year olds.
