A Scots mum has hit out after her five-year-old son almost swallowed a 'pill' he found in his packet of Doritos. Lorna Singleton, from Bathgate, West Lothian, said young Leon was eating a sharing pack of the chilli-heatwave crisps after school on Monday when he pulled out what she claims looked like a medical tablet.

The mum-of-two, who couldn't remember which shop she bought the crisps in, said she couldn't believe her eyes when Leo showed her what he was about to eat.

The 39-year-old added: "He was so excited because he thought it was a wee sweet. Just as he was about to eat it, he said look mummy, I found a sweet in my crisps." In disbelief, Lorna quickly told Leon to stop eating the crisps and confiscated the orange tablet. She said: "When I looked at it, I was shocked.

I couldn't believe it was in amongst his crisps."I don't know exactly what it is, but it looks like a pill of some sort .It's not plastic, it's smooth like a pill and does look really like one.
