A Scots man attempted to lighten the mood after a sad day spreading his sister's ashes by playing a boat prank on his mum in which he swung the boat they hired round in a dizzying display.

Craig Harrigan, 37, wanted to lift spirits on what had been a difficult day for his family on Loch Lomond. Craig, mum Catherine Harrigan and niece Ella Harrigan had been out spreading Caroline Harrigan's ashes after she sadly died earlier this year.

So, on their way back to shore, Craig decided to have some fun with the boat they had hired - and spun it round on the water. In the video, Catherine, 57, can be seen looking a bit worse for wear as Craig goes full throttle - spinning the boat round 360 degrees.Craig and Ella, 14, can be heard laughing in the background as the mum hangs on for dear life, before the boat eventually comes to a halt.Craig from Perth, said: "It had been a difficult day for all of us and I wanted to make Ella smile so I started spinning the boat."I think it's safe to say mum wasn't too thrilled - but her reaction was priceless!" The video was filmed on May 26. Don't miss the latest news from around Scotland and beyond - Sign up to our daily newsletter here.
