Firefighters rescued a young Scots girl who ‘snapped her ankle’ during a horror fall on the roof of a Fife high school. A relative of the 12-year-old told how the youngster had scaled the building at Glenwood High School in Glenrothes on Wednesday night.

They said she had been trying to retrieve two bags belonging to her and her friend after they were allegedly thrown onto the roof by a gang of boys.
