Scotland faces flash floods and lightning strikes as severe thunderstorms set to hit

Yellow warning predicting three days of severe thunderstorms across the country starting from Monday. Temperatures soared as high as 28°C over the weekend but the tropical conditions are set to be short-lived.

Instead, weather experts expect clouds and rain to arrive in force in some areas of the country tomorrow. Thundery showers are due to start hitting some parts of Scotland with the temperatures dipping to 11°C overnight.There is also a chance of flooding, lightning strikes and even hailstones though the changeable weather makes it difficult for the Met Office to be precise as to the locations that will be hit.
