dailyrecord.co.ukYOUNG Scots rider Rory Skinner got his delayed season off to a perfect start to take both wins at the opening round of the British Supersport Championship.The 18-year-old from Perth was unfazed by the fact that the Donington Park event was his first competitive ride on his Tysers Yamaha YZF-R6.
He dominated Saturday’s 20-lap race at the Derbyshire circuit, finishing 7.6 seconds ahead of his nearest rival.And he repeated the feat in Sunday’s race, truncated to 23 laps after an incident, crossing the line with a comfortable 9.4-second lead.
Afterwards, Skinner said: “The Tysers Yamaha team has prepared a fantastic bike for me. It’s been spot on all weekend.“During the races, I could see the gap on my pit board but just kept focussed on riding.
