School pupils start work on making Lanarkshire train station more attractive in eco-travel initiative

Primary school pupils in Lanarkshire have been showing off their new growing space at a local train station. The youngsters were out engaging with their community at Newton Station in Cambuslang.

Here, they have adopted an area for a project to make the station more attractive for passengers. The initiative launched on Community Rail Week ahead of COP26 in a bid to promote train transport as a greener means of travel.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
