Mackenzie Boyd won't be having a very merry Christmas this year as the Emmerdale character is set to be involved in a shooting horror.

Actor Lawrence Robb has been kept busy on the set of the ITV soap due to Mack's trials and tribulations, particularly in the past year.

Mack has found himself welcoming a secret son while marrying Charity Dingle, creating the ITV soap's latest love triangle which viewers thought had culminated in a horror car crash during October's Super Soap Week.

With Mack choosing to save Charity, Chloe plunged to what could have been her death but she miraculously survived. Mack's guilt saw him stick by Chloe, who knew what really happened, in the hope of staying close to his son, Reuben.
